Early Learning STEM Australia

It has been known for some time that Australian students are falling behind in Science and Maths in Australia.  More recently the Australian Department of Education and Training has initiated a Pilot programme to have students engage digitally with STEM subjects.    This is called ELSA, and has students in preschool exploring science, technology, engineering and mathematics practices.

Students trying to find resources within RMIT library for use in the classroom, can always checkout the library guides for assistance. This is a bit of a shortcut when looking for STEM items that you can borrow.  Please contact June Frost, your liaison librarian for further assistance if required.

Some of the latest resources in the STEM area are listed here for you:

Skamp, K., & Preston, C. M. (2018). Teaching primary science constructively (6th ed.). South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia: Cengage Australia.
