History Today

For those with an interest in History or for our RMIT preservice teachers learning about teaching Australian History, this event may be for you.  Presented by our wonderful State Library of Victoria


How do we relate to history today? Is history relevant still relevant in our cities, our institutions and our communities? 
Hear our expert panel of professional historians tackle some of the challenges of contemporary history practice and consider what it might look like in the future.

Children's book Council of Australia - book of the year short list

On the 17th of August the  CBCA Book of the year awards will be announced.   We have many of the titles that have been shortlisted available in the Bundoora library.   Login to LibrarySearch and place a hold on them if you wish to view, or come in an grab them off the shelves if they are available! This years theme for the CBCA book week 18-24th of August is "Find your treasure", we hope you enjoy these titles, and can make use of them in a classroom setting. RMIT University Library - Easy Cite

Here is a new tool produced by RMIT Librarians to provide you with a clear and easy way to ensure your referencing is correct.  Easy Cite allows you to choose the style you need (the School of Education requires APA6th), then select the amount of authors, and then the type of reference.  You may be trying to reference a journal article that you found in an RMIT Database. After carefully choosing the type of reference you will be provided with an example of how to paraphrase or quote in the body of your text and then how to construct the citation for your reference list.
